The Meaning of Home
A home isn’t just a house. A home is a place you find your family. Home is like a warm chicken that just came out of the oven. When I come home from school, there is always a yummy smell in the kitchen like chicken or spice, and sometimes, if I’m lucky, my mom’s amazing buns.
When I feel sad or lonely, I like to just lay down in my soft, squishy bed and read a book. When I’m in my back yard, I feel like all my worries go away. In the summer, I like to go on my swing and go as high as possible. My sister can’t go as high as me. In the winter my siblings and I make snowmen. After that, we have a warm cup of hot chocolate.
I wish everyone could have a home. That is why I’m glad Habitat for Humanity makes homes for people that need one.
