Home Means Everything
A house is not a home.
A home is so much more.
Home means everything.
A house is just a building made of bricks and walls. A house is not personal. It has no memories or family or friends. A home has family and friends. In a home you feel warm and safe and loved. A house can’t make you feel like that.
A home brings people together, and that means everything to me. It's a place where you feel loved. Home is where you make memories with family. Like at Christmas, when we play games. I love that time of year. A home is where parents watch kids grow up. Kids learn about helping with chores and being part of a family. Like sweeping the floor and shoveling the snow and being helpful. Kids also learn about appreciation when parents say thank-you.
Not just humans have homes. Animals have the same needs as humans. Animals also have homes. Birds build a nest for their babies to come home to every year. Ants live in a family called a colony with up to 20 000 ants living together! Sometimes animals aren't as lucky as humans. People step on ant hills and the weather can wreck a bird's nest, but animals never give up, they just keep building it back up.
Animals and humans work hard to build to look after their homes, because…
Home means everything.
