What Home Means to Me

For me, home is getting back from school with dogs piling on top of me And my mom greeting me with, “How was your day, sweetie?” and a huge smile on her face. For me, home is sleeping in a warm, cozy bed with 1 000 stuffed animals For me, home is a place where I feel safe. For me, home is fighting with my sister Grayci, but also laughing with her. For me, home is my mom fighting with my dad about weekends. For me, home is my sister bardging in my room to my slick back hair brush For me, home is putting my great-grandmother's Mini village up on Christmas For me, home is looking out the window and seeing the beautiful ocean For me, home is asking my mom to sleep in her bed For me, my home is when I'm with my family
