The Meaning of Home to Me

Home is not a "house". It's a place I feel safe and trusted with me and my family. My family and I have lived in the same home, in the same place in Canada for my entire life. But I'm happy I live here, here in Canada. My home is my family’s, it's mine and my brothers. The living room is where we sit on the 7 year old couch, laugh and cry, and make good and hopeful times we will remember for the rest of our lives. The kitchen is where my dad cooks curry and salmon with tarter dip, my mom cooks steak and mashed potatoes with butter and loads of salt. The dining room is where we have dinner, lunch and, where we share stories about our day. My aunts, Yaya and Papa come around one time a week to have dinner with us and tell funny, sad, and happy stories about years ago. In my brother's room, he and my mom play Nintendo while our 3 dogs snuggle up next to them with love. Next to my brother's room is mine. In my room I get ready for another day or colour in 1 out of the 100 coloring books I have. My dad is always laying in his room reading 1 of his 400 books he has. In the entry way our friends come in and out all the time. It's where we leave to make good times we will not forget in 1 million years. My mum and dad love me so much and I love them so much too!
