Home
What is “Home”? The meaning of home to me isn’t always just walls, rooms and a roof. You may not have a home, but a home could be right in front of you right now, you see? It's a place where you’re cared for, someplace where you are loved. You could be living on the streets, but that could be a place you call home.
For me, it’s a safe zone where I can cut off the bad parts of the world and relax, letting my mind free of bad thoughts without worry or fear. Yet myself has ups and downs, being sad to feeling scared but it’s the safest place I could be.
Having a roof over my head makes me feel comfortable, but I have that feeling of guilt for the ones who don’t have such privileges to be happy and no place to feel safe.
I’m grateful that I was lucky enough to have a loving and caring family and home to be in. Yet some of my family members have problems, the ones I'm close to bring me up, not down.
That is what I call home, a loving, caring place where I don’t feel scared and unsafe with many people I deeply love and trust to take care of me.
I’m so grateful I got to participate in this essay, getting to express my feelings in words where I won’t be judged for.
