What Makes My House Feel Like Home My house feels like home for so many reasons. I’ll start with my family and friends. My family and friends make me feel loved by comforting me even when I'm feeling down, they care for me when I'm sick or sad, they help me with plenty of things, and give me meals that I look forward to everyday. I love my family and friends with all my heart even when we fight. I still love them so much! I feel like my home is a safe place to be in. In my room with my cozy bed that feels like the clouds puts me of to sleep every night, my fan that blocks all sound outside my room and keeps me cool during the night, the lovely scents of my favourite perfumes makes me feel at home, my soft carpet to lay my feet on when I wake up is always amazing, and my books that I read at night makes me feel calm and happy. That is what makes me feel safe in my room. My kitchen always smells amazing with home cooked meals nearby in the dining room that is warm and ready for my family and I to eat and talk about our day together as a family. My living room is where my family and I play games and watch movies together with popcorn and chips. My basement is where me and my sister and I play games and have lots of fun, get all the laughs out of it, and teach each other things that we both enjoy! The backyard is where we have barbeque and dinner outside, play games together, and grow fresh food from our garden. My home never makes me worry about being safe or not because as long as I'm with my family I know I'm safe and belong. When I'm in my home I recognize that it's not the furniture that makes it special, it's the people in my home that make it special. When I see my family when I get home from school I know I’m in my happy place. I think everyone deserves a house that they can call home, a home that is safe, personalized to your family, where families can make memories together and have awesome adventures. That is what makes my house a home!
