Truly Home
Home—what is home?
Is it the smell of breakfast on the warm stove,
the touch of flowers in the damp, dew-covered grass,
or is it simply being with the people you love and care for?
Home is a place of learning,
a place of care,
a place of bright spirit,
a place of warmth,
a place to express endless emotion.
To some people, it isn’t.
To some, it’s the cold, big, busy streets of the city,
with only a thin blanket wrapped around them to keep them warm
and no one to make them feel loved.
Home can be something that is created
by someone willing to care, love, and learn.
Home can be a country—
a country full of others that look like you,
speak like you,
love like you.
All of these meanings of home
are pieces of one big, beautiful home—
a home called Earth.
And that is truly home.
