Home isn't just a house.

Home isn't just a house, it's a place where memories are created, a place where hugs are given, meals are cooked, and love is spread. A house is a place you live in but a home is the place where you are loved, the place you feel happy in, the place family lives in. My home is the place I feel safe in, the place I’m understood, a place where every member of my family laughs, has a good time, tells stories and shares new memories with each other. That's not a house, that's a home. The kind of place you want to be at, the place you feel welcomed in. In my kitchen there is an amazing smell that comes from the kitchen, my dad and me baking. My home always smells like a fresh cookie that's just been baked. My kitchen isn’t just where meals are cooked or desserts are baked but the stories that are told when we are sitting around the dining table. In the basement is where close and distant family hangs around, games are played and shows are watched. That's the place where Christmas is held, presents are opened, stockings are hung and filled with joy. My home is where my family is. The place you feel at home. My house isn't big, but it isn't small at the same time. My house is the perfect size for me and my family. In my family I have my mom, my dad, my sister, and me, we also have my dog Malibu! She’s been with my family and me for 7 years. At home I try to be the best I can, I try to be a good granddaughter, a good cousin and a good little sister. I try to be the best I can.
