What Home Means to Me
What Home Means to Me
Home is a place you share with your family,
-not always blood-related.
It’s people who love you and you love.
It’s where strong family bonds are created.
Homes are not owned by one,
but all.
It’s a loving place,
no matter if it’s big or small.
Home is a place where you feel,
cherished, happy, safe and not ignored
If you ever came to my house,
it would be impossible to get bored!
We have a fun time making halwa
-our favourite food!
As we spend time together,
it puts us in a great mood.
We love to see the lush green nature,
such as our backyard.
Meanwhile in the winter,
we like to make snowballs in the white frontyard
On the plain grey walls,
pictures of us are all around
Like when my cousin first walked or when my sister was born
Each memory in a frame we once found
Unlike a house,
with its sometimes empty rooms.
A home is a place
where relationships and kindness bloom.
*Every kid deserves to have a loving home so I just want to thank Habitat for Humanity for making that possible. I am so grateful to have a loving and caring home.
