A Place That I Call Home
The reason that I call home home is because it’s not about the building itself, it’s about what's inside and what's most important to you. It’s a place where you can feel valued and safe, where your family is there for you. It makes me feel like I belong and I’m a piece of the puzzle.
First, when I’m in my home I feel valued. That's because I have an awesome family that will always be there for me no matter what. When I’m playing by myself and my sisters notice, they will come ask me if I want to play with them. When I tried to tie my shoes and I struggled, my parents were there for me and came to help me. These are some ways I feel valued in my home.
Next, to me home means feeling safe. There is a lot of places that I can feel safe but the spot that makes me feel most safe is my room with my dad. When it's a stormy night, I will get very scared, but since I'm in my room with my dad, I feel safe and comfortable. That is one way I can feel safe in my house.
Finally, a home is a place that I feel supported. Sometimes I can feel down or upset but I will always have someone to talk to. Just like my mom, she has always been there for me and always has loved me. So I can let out all my anger and sadness, and she won’t mind.
In conclusion, home is what's happening on the inside, not what the building is on the outside. It's a place where people can feel valued, safe and supported.
