Home is My Place

What makes a place feel like home to me is not just a building but it is having family around me. Home is a place you should feel safe and comfortable. This is when we are having family time and watching a movie. When I got home from school I was excited to see my family. When I walk into the door I can smell the dinner my mom has made. Well we eat together, we watch a movie with each other, I give my parents a hug and I go to bed. Next my home is where I feel safe and so does my family. I have a blanket that I have when I am in bed to feel protected. In my room I can hear my birds chirping when I'm home. When my family and I do stuff together that is when I feel the most safe. My home is a place that I feel comfortable. My pets are one reason for this because they have been with me for a long time. My cat, Sunny, sleeps with me every night to keep me warm. Her soft fur brushes against my hand, making me feel calm. In conclusion, home means to me family, pets, safety and isn't. That's what makes home, home!
