The Meaning of Home

For me, a home is not just a building; it is a place where I can be my true self. What makes me feel relaxed is home! It is the smell of rose-scented laundry detergent on the bed sheets, a memory from when I stay with my grandma. I can always smell something, it's rose! I remember the taste of cilantro and watermelon. Home is the loud yet refreshing breeze from a fan, it is the cartoons I watch with my little cousin; we laugh together when we talk about the show, I feel so happy! It is the downstairs neighborhoods dog always barking. The dog’s name is Lily. Every time when you look at her, she always looks angry, but she is a very good dog. She likes someone to play with her. My grandma always reminds us, “Come wash your hands and eat.’’ Maybe this is home, a place where someone remembers when you should come back.
