Where is home?
What is the difference between a house and a home?
Lots of people think it's the same, but it's not.
A home has family or people who love and care about and for you. Yes, they will get
angry at you sometimes but they will always love and care about you
To me home smells like fresh dinner being served at the table, or baked goods
slowly coming out of the oven. That's a smell you won't ever forget and I hear laughter and music bouncing around the house like a rabbit.
To me home feels safe, comfortable and happy, and that's what it SHOULD feel
like, home is not just a place, and you can't get it with fancy furniture or a pool. It's
already with you, it's where you feel safe and have fun.
In a home you should feel safe and be able to express yourself.
Picture this: you're in the living room during the holidays, and it's snowing outside, you're sipping slowly on hot chocolate after going sledding with your family/care giver.
That feels cozy right? That's what it sometimes feels like but it's always your choice.
Families don't always have the things to make a home, that's why I'm extra
thankful for Habitat for Humanity for helping people to not just have a house but a
home. I'm happy that our community by donating to help those people. Thank you.
