A Place to Call Home

Home to me is a place that you can relate to even if it isn’t perfect. Home can be your safe place or your alone spot. It doesn’t matter where you are or how big your home is. Home can be as bare and empty or as full and cluttered as you want. Home could be your hideout from reality. Home is your safety spot from the outside world. But some people’s homes aren’t warm or cozy or safe. Some people can’t fully be happy or secure there. Some people’s homes are dark and cold. My home is where my mom makes rice and cooks. My home is where my dad farts in my room to annoy me. Where my sister yells songs and gives me headaches. Home isn’t just some place to rest, it's your own place. Home is where I can trust in my parents to help me when I need it. Home is where you should feel alive and free. Thanks to habitat for humanity people have a chance to change their lives. They can be free to live their lives how they want. They don’t have to feel alone or isolated anymore.
