Home is Not Just a House

Home is not just a house, it's a place where you feel safe & loved. When I walk in my home after school I wait for one hour for my mom to come down stairs & ask me if I want to help her make dinner. I always say yes & it brightens my day when I'm with my family after a long day at school. When I come home from school to relax & watch tv sometimes I need my space in my home. When my mom is finally done with work & comes down stairs & gives me a big warm hug I feel so grateful to have a home to live in with my family. In my home me & my family try to play at least one game every day. We still play games even though I win every time. When I get tucked in at my home I feel so cozy with all of my stuffies around me. When I see all the pictures hung up in the hall I remember all the memories like when my dad said that he could swing on a tree branch & ended up on the grass. A house is not nearly as loving & it just isn't good as a home. A house can be someone else's home or it can just be a place that keeps you safe & warm. No home is as good as a house but thank you Habitat For Humanity for helping people who don't have a warm home.
