What Home Means to Me

Home means many different things to many different people, it could be your house, loved ones, maybe even a favorite meal. To me, home would be a safe place, filled with people I love. To me, home should be cozy and warm and comforting, inside and out, filled with love, trust, and comfort. This following acrostic poem will describe home to me. Healthy and filled to the brim with love Open to listen to your troubles and needs More than enough family and friends to comfort you for a lifetime Equality should be shown in this safe place called home This is what builds a home for me. If you don’t have a place that you call home, you can try to find one in a person you know. That person could be a friend, a teacher, a cousin, a parent, a grandparent. It could be anyone you know and cherish. Think of all your memories from the place you call home. Every time you were carried out of the car asleep. Every single picture that’s on the fridge. Every single road trip. Every single sports game. Every little memory you have; that was home just being there for you. All those things built your home from the ground. So, take a moment to think back, just think about what home is, and what it means to you.
