Home is a feeling

Home is not the same for everyone because we all have different experiences. Some people live in big houses, and some live in small apartments. But home is more than a building with walls, windows, and a roof. Home is a feeling. To me, home means family time, prayer time, and fun time. When I think about home, I picture my family sitting together on the couch in a circle. We pray and eat breakfast together. Those moments make me feel happy and peaceful. At home, we do many things together. We cook meals, plant in the garden, and cuddle on the couch. I love playing Uno with my family. My little sister is very competitive, which makes the game even more exciting! We also enjoy watching movies and having Saturday morning dance parties. Every day, we read and talk about the Bible, which helps us grow and learn. Home is a calm and cozy place. After a long day at school, I can relax. I do not have to pretend to be someone else. I can take a deep breath and just be myself. At home, I always feel safe and loved. Home is also where I learn about my culture. My parents and relatives tell stories that are full of love and meaning. Their stories make me feel proud of who I am. They remind me that I belong. Home is not just a house. Home is where your family is. Even if you do not live in a big place, if you have love, you have a home. Home lives in your heart, and that is what makes it special.
