What Home Means To Me

To me a house is just a place, but a home is a place where I feel safe. I love it when I have a game night with my family because it makes me feel connected to them. My home means more than the walls and the roof. The part that matters most is the people inside it. Even though my parents are not living together, I still have a great time at both of their homes. My home is filled with laughter, love, sometimes sadness and lots of different emotions like anxiety, happiness, love, and sadness. I hate it when people in my family are sad because it makes me sad. My favorite times at my dad’s home are when my family dances and listens to music as much as we can and when we watch movies together every night. I have four siblings and I love playing with all of them. With my dad, my siblings and I go to the park and play in the summer. At my mom’s home is where I spend most of my time during the week and every other weekend, I go to my dad’s. Before I go to bed every night I always play a little game with my mom and it makes me feel super happy. I love baking with her, my favorite things to bake are cookies and my favorite cookie to make is snickerdoodles. I think everyone deserves a home where they feel safe and loved, and I think that Habitat for Humanity does a great job helping people in need of a home.
