Meaning of a Home

My home is the place where my day starts and finishes. It is where I wake up feeling so relaxed that I’m sometimes late for school. I can’t wait to come home after a long day to play Roblox with my brother. In my home, I feel protected because my dad is always around. My home makes me feel calm and happy. My mom always bakes and cooks, so the smell in the house is always so inviting. I often help her so I can learn to bake and cook like her. Inside my home, my mom gives us chores. I do the dishes and clean up after meals, and my brother and I take out the garbage. We share meals, tell stories, read the Bible, pray, and sometimes dance or sing together. I like how my home always feels warm, even on cold days. My favorite place is where I can sit quietly and think or do my homework. What makes my home special is not how it looks, but how it feels. It is full of care, patience, and love. My home teaches me kindness and responsibility. No matter where I go, my home will always be my favorite place because my parents make sure we are comfortable. My home would not be special if I didn’t feel loved. My mom makes sure I get enough love to share with everyone. I would not trade my home for another home.
