Home
What is the meaning of home? This question is the one people wonder about at night. They daydream about it during school, and spend hours and hours trying to figure it out. The thing about home is, there is no real meaning. To one person, home might mean a shelter to keep you dry from the cold, frigid rain. To someone else, it might mean somewhere where you feel content, and warm. Certain people might even say home is a person they feel comfortable around.
But if you ask me, home is waking up to the smell of warm chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven waiting for you to come downstairs and take a bite. Home is being wrapped up in a warm, fuzzy blanket, watching snow fall onto the ground through the window. Home is getting whipped cream smeared on your nose, and delicious smelling steam floating up onto your face as you drink from the hot cocoa you hold in front of you.
The hands that hold the chocolaty drink are now burning from the heat of the mug but you don't care because the feeling of home is too good. This is what home is to me.
Home is forever, and I’m very lucky to have one.
