Without Hands

My living room is where The sun’s light spills through my window Like sweet golden honey The sound of the TV blasting Or the sound of silence Is soon replaced with laughter And the voices of the people that I love My kitchen is the smell of my dad’s cooking We all surround the table While enjoying a masterpiece on a plate My room With drawings all over the wall Each one a special memory This is where I fall asleep To the “I love you” of my parents Home isn’t just a place Or a room It’s the feeling of safeness A collection of moments Like candles blown on birthdays And cheers of celebration on holidays Anywhere I go Here There Everywhere My love for it will never change Home holds me without hands
