Meaning of Home

Have you ever thought of the difference between a home and a house? Well I'm going to tell you the difference that makes my house a home! A house is a structure, not a loved place. A home makes you feel safe, loved, and also has lots and lots of memories, a house on the other hand is just a building! My home makes me feel loved with the walls filled with memories, the comfort of walking in and just feeling overall safe! Each person (and animal) puts it all together, the warmth, the joy, the smell, all makes me feel loved, it makes me feel like I belong and actually matter, and that I am truly loved! Each living being makes me feel like I can be myself, I can feel loved, when we watch a show, bake something, even when doing something funny but funny and dumb I know I'm loved! Each time I do one of those things I feel loved, I feel important, and that I can be myself without getting judged! That is what love in my home is! When I walk into my home I feel safe, calm, and protected! A big wave of safety washes over me, almost like a tsunami of safety and protection comes, when I walk into home I feel good, I can be myself, I can do stuff that would be embarrassing to do without getting judged! I don't have to worry when I walk into my home, because there is nothing to worry about. When I walk into my home I can be who I want, and I don't need to worry if someone will judge me because I know no one will! That is what safety in my home is! My home has so many memories, the memories are filled with smiles, laughs, and lots and lots of love! The memories make me feel good, loved, and that I should know that I am truly cared for! Memories are what makes a house a home! Memories are the best, knowing what has happened before and now just feels refreshing, knowing that your loved and cared for comes from memories, the memories are one of the things that make a house a home! A home isn't just measured wood and bricks, it's the love, safety and memories that are filled inside it! So remember a house isn't a home until it has love, safety, and memories!
