My Home
A home is not just made out of bricks and concrete, it’s made of love, safety, and kindness. My bedroom, my memories, safety, inclusiveness, and baking are the things that make me feel at home. To start off, my bedroom is a place where I can relax, feel safe, and have personal space if I need to. For instance, if I am having a disagreement with my sister, or I'm just feeling upset, my bedroom is a safe place I can go. Also, my bedroom is a place where I can keep all of my personal belongings. Next, my memories. My positive memories make me feel at home. Some examples of my most important memories are, holding my baby brother for the first time, watching movies with my family, and so on. Next, safety. If I feel safe, I can relax, and I will feel at home. For instance, some examples of where I feel safe are my bedroom, my classroom, my living room, and more. Next, inclusiveness. When I feel included at school, and when my friends notice me, include me in games and activities, I feel at home. Last but not least, baking with my mom. When I get to bake with my mom, just us two, it makes me feel at home. Especially because I rarely ever get to bake with her. For example, my favourite things to bake with her are chocolate banana muffins, mini donuts, chocolate chip cookies, and more. In conclusion, my home is not just made out of bricks and concrete, it’s a place to feel loved and to feel you belong.
