Home Means to Me...

Have you ever thought of what home means to you? Well I have! Home to me, means love, care, memories, family, and food. First, home is love. My parents show me love by giving me hugs and tucking me in when it's time for me to go to bed. Secondly, home is care. My mom shows she cares for me by waking up early to make me breakfast. My dad cares for me by driving me to school almost every morning. Both my parents care for me when they give me my grape flavoured medicine when I feel sick. Memories, sitting on the couch playing a round of snakes and ladders, and also laughing by the fireplace at the funny parts of the movie. Family, having a family that cares about me, and is always there for me. Our home is always filled with love and laughter. Food, being able to have food to eat at my house everyday when I’m hungry. When I smell the food my mom is cooking I race down the stairs and ask my mom for some, and she says “sure” because I am her taste tester. The smell of my favourite foods like spaghetti, shrimp, bacon, and pancakes filling the air. My mom letting me spread the icing on the freshly baked cake that just came straight out the oven. In conclusion, home is a place where there is love, care, memories, family, and food. I feel safe in my home.
