What is Home?

“Time to go home!” says my mom as I walk towards her after school. But what is home? Home is my house, where I have a warm bed, good food, and I am always loved, but home is other places too. Home is my grandparents’ house, where I am always appreciated and cared for. Home is my best friend's house, where I am always welcomed to have a good time. Home is a good book that I can get lost in, and teleport to a different world in my mind until my mom calls me for dinner. Home is my sketchbook, where I can spend hours filling up the pages with doodles and drawings. Home is at girl guides, where I can be myself and feel like I belong. Home is my family, who help me through everything, the good and the bad. Home is my bed, where I feel safe and warm. Home is my bedroom, where I have countless memories of sleepovers, playdates, and late night snuggles with my dog. Home is Mexico, where I have so many memories from my first family vacation. Home is Barrie, the town where my house is. Home is my school, where I can learn new things. Home is Innisfil, where my girl guides group is. Home is a place where I can always feel safe and loved. I love my home.
