The Meaning of Home
Home is not a building it is a feeling. Home is trust, family, respect, and so much more. It doesn't matter if I am in Canada or Australia, as long as my family and I are together.
I know I can always trust my family to care for me. I know I will always be respected. I know I will always be supported with school and everything else I need.
To me, the rooms that make a house a home are the living room, the kitchen, and my bedroom. In my living room, I can hear my sister playing with toys. In my kitchen I can smell my dad cooking the perfect meal. In my bedroom, my mom and I are working on homework.
Remember that the difference between a house and a home is that a house is a building. A house has walls, a roof, and rooms. A home has love, laughter, respect, and so many other feelings. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people the chance to have a Home!!
