A House is Not a Home
You can buy a house and make it super cozy, but when you're all alone, your house is not a home. You can cook in your kitchen with lots of spice and sauce, but when you eat alone, your house is not home. A house can be a roof or somewhere to keep warm but if there are no family and friends a house is not a home. In a house it might feel empty or you feel out of place, but if you have a home you’ll never feel alone. You can buy a picture and put it in a frame but remember a house is where memories are supposed to be made. You can buy a plant and water it each morning, but if you grow it alone, your house is not a home. You can buy a book and read it out loud but with no one to read it too, your day will feel so lonely. In a home you'll feel support from everyone around you, but in a house, it doesn’t count if you don't feel love around you. Sometimes in a home your siblings might annoy you but at least you know that there are those who love you all around you. A house can be a bungalow, an apartment, or two story, but a home is what you make it not what someone else makes for you. A home should be a part of you or somewhere you feel safe; a home should feel like it will be there for you when you’re not feeling great. Home is like a blanket that wraps around you when you're cold. It's where you want to be, so you'll never be alone.
