More Than Just Bricks

To me, my house isn’t just a stack of bricks with a roof on top of it. To me, my house is my fortress. In my fortress, I feel safe no matter what I do, I get everything I need to thrive and I learn new things every day. At home, I live with the people I love and make memories with them. I love spending time with them, especially when I read, play or watch movies with them. I only feel truly at home when I’m with them. Home is a place where I can return after a long day and instantly feel better. No matter what happens from a bad grade to a school bully, my home makes me feel happier. My house isn’t anything special. It has everything that you would expect to see in a house such as three floors, a living room, three bathrooms, three bedrooms and last but not least, the family room. The family room is my favorite room because that's where my family and I have made our best memories laughing, talking, and just being together. People usually confuse houses with homes. People think home is just a place or stack of bricks but it's not. A house is where you live and are provided with shelter but wears down in time. A home is where the people and things you love are. Homes are more than just houses. Homes are forever.
