Meaning of Home

Home to me is not just a building or a place to live, it's a place where I feel safe, loved, and happy. Home is a special place because of the people around us. When I am at home I feel warm. I feel warmth from the fireplace and the homemade meal that was prepared for me and my family. I love my home and the people inside because of all the memories on the walls and the photos of me and my sister. The basement where my family hangs out on cold winter days we turn on the fireplace and we talk and play board games. When I go into my room I see a safe place where I go to think how lucky I am to have a home and a roof over my head and to thank my parents for raising me. A home is a place where I can be myself and not anything I want to be. When I walk around my house I hear laughter. I also love to be surrounded by my family at the dinner table and to eat amazing home cooked meals. I feel like home is a shield that is protecting me from the harsh world. And I love the feeling when me and my family come home from a vacation and get to be in our own home and to have our own home. When I think of a feeling that represents home it would definitely be a great environment and a nice place to live. When we have big family dinners we pray for the less fortunate people in the world. We say that we hope we can help fund enough money to support a family in need. This is my meaning of home.
