Home Sweet Home

Home is a place that will be there even if you aren't near. It’s a place which locks in the aroma of the delicious food my mom makes. The sweet, savory smell fills every room. No matter how big, or small it’s a shelter that keeps you warm. It holds your family together, so your love never withers. It will always hold your memories like a jar of jelly beans. Though your siblings are annoying you can never stay mad. At home you will feel love everywhere, to hurt you no one would ever dare. A home just isn't a home, it's with you whenever you need it, like the day you took your first step, or the day you thought about your dreams. The walls take adventures, carrying you across journeys, through each picture that hangs, each moment that carries, each glance a memory unfolds. In the attic there's the lost treasure you've been searching all your life. There's always one corner that's your cozy corner. The beautiful bright, colorful lights buzzing in every room gives you joy. Home is wrapped with warmth around you like a blanket protecting you from everything. Your voice echoes in every room telling you walls can hear. A home is a place where I can be myself no matter how dirty, or clean my home will always be there, to express feelings, and not get judged. A home is where I stay connected with my family, play board games, and listen to my moms stories while cuddling in the warm blanket with her. Homes don't have value, but the people living in it make it a home. Home is not something you find, it's something you make.
