Meaning of Home To Me

“A house is made of bricks and beams, a home is built with love and dreams.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson. Home is important to me because of all the fun activities we do, my own space and because of my supporting family. To begin with, one of my favorite parts of home is the fun activities such as building Lego sets, playing video games and helping my parents with chores. To start with, building Lego sets at home is really fun and important to me. I love it when my brother and I are building together like when he is building a set and I am building a set too because it’s just cool that we can both talk about different sets while we’re building them. I also like building really big sets because it’s like I’m sitting on the table for the whole day and then I finish and then it looks like the coolest of all time. Also, a core part of every kid’s childhood is playing video games and sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing. Examples of my favorite video games are Roblox because there are millions of games, Fortnite because it’s a fun game to play with a team and Minecraft because your creativity is endless. Another really fun thing about video games is the things that you use to play them (e.g., consoles, phones) which for me would be a PS5. I love the PS5 because you can call and message your friends if you have them added, watch movies and play games all in one console. Equally as important, helping my parents with chores is very important in my house. For instance, on Mondays, I always help bring the recycling and garbage out to the curb. I also always help bring the laundry down and up to the washing machine in the basement. To sum it up, home is fantastic because of the entertaining things to do like constructing Lego’s, using my electronics and aiding my parents with tasks. Another reason why I love my home is because it’s my own peaceful space. I love how there’s lots of peace in my home, I have my bedroom for sleeping and I feel very safe in there. Firstly, home is nice because it is very calm. It’s always just me and my family unless we have a guest which just makes it nicer to have someone over. I love when me and my family are just chilling watching a show or movie together. And finally, we all have our couch which is SO comfy. Next, I have my room to keep me company. My room is where I sleep at night because I have my bed in there. I also have a TON of books on my bookshelf that I keep in there such as Dog Man (all of them), Diary of a Wimpy Kid and like 5 different Marvel encyclopedias. I also keep my toys under my bed but it’s mostly just my nerf guns and toy swords. And we couldn’t forget my wonderful, amazing LEGO sets! In addition, home feels very unharming. I have very secure doors and windows all with locks and the windows have very thick glass. I also have my family there to support me in any problems I have. And finally, I’m able to let my feelings out at home because it doesn’t really matter to anyone if I'm being loud. Overall, I love home because it’s quiet, I have a bedroom for myself and I feel really secure. To start with, home is very comfortable because of my loving family. In my family I have my parents, my brother and my other family from across North America. In the first place, home is lovely because of my parents. My mom does most of the chores around the house and is super helpful. My dad always plays sports with me, helps me in video games that are hard and is always super funny. My parents always book us fun vacations. My parents are also super kind and will do anything for us. Similarly, I have my brother in my family. My brother is really kind and loving for me and his friends at school. My brother is also really funny and says lots of random words and jokes. My brother and I play all the same video games together and we always talk about them. Identically, I have my family across North America. In my extended family I have my cousins who I very rarely see. I have my aunts and uncles who I see more than my cousins because they come to our house themselves. And also I have my grandparents who are very kind and get us gifts every time we go to their house. Now, you may be wondering why I’m talking about my extended family who live far from me but they come to our house a lot too. In conclusion, home is marvelous because I have my parents, my brothers and I have other family. Life is the best with my home because of the amusing activities, I have my own calm room to rest in and my caring relatives. Do you love your home?
