Not just a place

When I think of home, I think of my house; when I enter, I feel warm, calm, and safe, but home is not just one place. Home for me used to be my house in Shenzhen, and then I moved to an apartment in Halifax. I really thought that I could call that home, but I guess God had other plans because 2 years later my mom got pregnant with my baby sister, and when she was born, my grandparents came to live with us, so that 2-bedroom apartment was NOT even close to big enough, so then we moved again into an even bigger house, which now is safe to call my home. Home for me has changed over time for me, but now I've learned that a person or place for me is the Mira Gut beach, my grandparents' house, and China. Home is not just a place; it's somewhere you can feel safe and loved.
