Home to Me!

The meaning of home to me is … A place where you can breathe without having to be scared. Also, a place where you can sleep without having a headache from stressors.. Something I struggle with is positive affirmations. Family and friends help me remember the positive things about me. For example, I’m NICE, I’m KIND, I’m BEAUTIFUL. One of the things my family does is make cookies together, even if they're burnt. They still were made with LOVE and that’s all that matters. My family has taught me that LOVE is important, regardless of what happens. The people who are sometimes hard to love need the most love. Our family rule is no electronics Monday to Friday. Except if we choose to watch a movie together. Family time matters. When I don’t feel like talking directly to my parents about something, I write it in a journal and place it on their bed. They will respond to my writing and put the journal back on my bed. On Sunday’s we have a nice family dinner and spend extra time together. On Saturday’s we have my brothers skating. Normally, I bring a colouring book and draw. I will always remember how awesome my family is. When I grow up and move away, I will come HOME to visit. When my loved ones die, they are always with me and watching over me from Heaven. God helps my family and I through life’s journey. This is what the meaning of home means to me.
