A Home is...
A home is like a playlist that plays maybe not perfectly, where loved ones argue all day long and fight over who is right or wrong. Even though we sometimes fight, at the end of the day everyone is right. It doesn’t matter what you believe, do not deceive you are loved there.
You can help cook dinner with your mom or put peanut-butter in your dog's favorite Kong. No matter what you do or what you say, people won't judge or hold a grudge. A home is where you can be free from teachers, pain and a bully. It's where you play and watch TV with your mom or dad and just feel glee.
Sometimes I wish I could go back to the days where I used to bake cookies with my grandma or go to the golf course with my grandpa, but you can't change the past, and I miss those days, but at least I can look up at the starry night and gaze. It's the laughter and the hugs I miss but that's the thing. A home is a place that is not just a noun it's a place where you feel free to make a mess or make a mistake.
I would never give up the memories of me learning how to paddle board with my cousin, or shopping with my mom and buying a sweater that costs a dozen, or me and dad gaming together and me always winning because I am just better.
And that's why a house is not what it seems but to the family that lives in it, it's a home. And that's what matters the most.
