Home is my happy place

Home isn’t just four walls, with a roof and a floor. Home is something that brings people together, to have happy memories filled with peace and laughter. Every day, when I come home, in the kitchen I can smell my parents delightful cooking, I can hear the TV in the living room and my brother and sister playing in the bedroom. I look around, I see the pictures hanging on our walls, they open doorways into positive recollections of our past. This makes me feel like I belong, like I will never be left behind. Our home might be small, but it has everything we need to be happy. It can shield us from the rain and keep us warm in the winter. Home is a place, which I could always come back to, where I could discuss my feelings in no shame with my family. When I look at home, I see a fence that I could hide within and treasure my time in peace with my family, free from all the worries that might bother me. I like my home and my family, they motivate me to move on and not to look back. So home isn’t just four walls, it is a place that I can always go back to.
