What Home Means to Me

When I walk in the front door my nostrils are filled with the smell of vanilla and lavender. When I see my dog Nino he always sprints all the way to the stairs while tapping his feet on the hard wood floor like a tap dancer. When I get settled in I sit on my couch and look at the Wassily Kandisky art and it always screams for my attention with its bright shapes and colours. On Friday nights for Shabbat my mom bakes delicious challah (a type of bread) that tastes really good and yummy. Each bite makes me want it more and more. My home is my favourite place to be in, with its scents, noises, tastes and colours. My home has had many different changes, but always seems to be the same warm and welcoming place.
