A Home Fit For A Forest

All the animals were building a home for the whole forest. They all wanted to add something important about their old house to the new house. First the Ape went, The ape said, “The home must feel accepting.” “My house feels accepting and it makes me feel good to come home and like I belong in my house”. Next the Cougar, The cougar says, “The home must feel cozy.” “When I have a bad day, being in my cozy home makes me feel better and takes bad or sad feelings away”. After was the Sloth, The sloth says, “The home must feel safe.” “The home should feel safe in two ways, it should feel like a shield and it should feel like no matter what you do you will be loved”. Soon after, the Lemur comes along, The lemur says, “Everyone should feel loved.” “Feeling loved in my house is like when my parents celebrate something that I did, or when my mom makes my favourite meal”. Finally was the Vixen, The vixen says, “Everyone in the house should feel valued.” “They should feel valued because then they know that when at home, everyone is equal”. After that, all the animals realized that they finished the house. All the animals cheered in unison and moved into their new house!
