What Does Home Mean to Me?

Hello my name is Nabila. I am from Israel. My mom is from Eritrea and my dad is from Sudan. I have five siblings and a new baby that was just born. One big brother and four little sisters. In Israel we have war and we were always going to a safe place at night. I came to Canada because in Israel we have war. When we came to Canada it was my first time seeing snow. I love it! In Israel we don't have snow, just fake snow. I love when we didn't have war. I made a lot of friends. I didn't even stop to draw! In Israel during Covid-19 there was a lot of rain, and many storms. During this time, we couldn’t go outside for many days and there wasn’t any school so we did not have school during this time. The storms were very cold. There was also lightning. There are good and bad people. The good people are nice to us and the bad people are very annoying. The bad people always hit us. When we went to school we didn’t even learn anything because we always had to go to the safe place so we didn't get hurt. Always going to the safe place meant we didn't learn anything at school. There is no war in Canada. Canada is our new safe place, and I love Canada very much and I love the school. I love everything in Canada!
