Home is Where...

I am from a white house with a brown roof and a big yard, where lots of kids come to play. I am from the sound of pots and pans banging while my grandma is baking cookies And the smell of fresh air that fills the house when a window is open. I am from the memory of when we rescued kittens from under my deck and Brought them into my warm and cozy house. When I look outside, it’s not just a front yard, it’s a place where my family carries memories I am from the hands that help me clean, bake, and cook and the voices that say, "Don’t give up and keep going!" I am from my home, where I play hide and seek with my brothers and cousins And where my dad tries to find us! Home is where we play, talk, and laugh together From running up and down the stairs with my dogs and cats, while my dad is trying to sleep. Home isn’t just a building, It is a place that keeps my family and me warm, A place that binds us together. I am from home where I play.
