My Home
Once there was a very boring, undecorated home with only a few childish alphabet posters hanging around. It had dim lighting and three smelly and old grey sofas. Dirty, dusty windows that had been there since the age of dinosaurs were only in a few of the rooms, and crusty, peeling wallpaper lined the walls of each room and hallway. The only upside was that a few plush toys were lying around, most of which were dogs that were coloured black, brown, beige, or a combination of two of the above. But back to the main point, this house we called home had almost nothing white, and the only carpets we had were scratchy and smelly. But little did my brother and I know that a big surprise was coming…
After five or so years, it had been this way. But then, suddenly, after about four months of looking at ugly wallpaper and alphabet posters, the wallpaper was peeled, and the walls were painted with a beautiful coat of shiny white paint. The washrooms were renovated, and a room was destroyed to create more space. The dim lights were taken down and replaced with fancy, new lights that illuminated each room. Every alphabet poster was taken down to make room for some actually interesting decorations, such as a plastic wreath and some art that my brother and I made in art class. Now, thanks to my parents' hard work, my home is like a mini palace. No more shall I suffer the wrath of the beige wallpaper! No more shall I suffer the boredom of each childish alphabet poster! I could actually live! Now each room has beautiful white desks, and we even have a goldfish now (Its tank broke, so it's now in a red plastic bin). The end
