My home is not just four walls or a building. It means more to me, it is like a part of my family. It’s where all of our memories happen and are made. My home is my safe place. It is my getaway from the outside world. When I am feeling upset, my home is the most comforting place to be. I feel calm and relaxed in my home. I love the way the aroma of my parents' traditional Russian and Italian cooking fills the kitchen and dining room with traditions. I love the way that my living room is a safe place for crying, laughing, yelling and even being silent. It is a place for playing board games and snuggling up on the couch watching movies with my family. My bedroom is my favourite room. It is the room I feel most comfortable in. It is like a big blanket that wraps around me and comforts me when I am tearful, or a big party when I am joyful. It is the room where I listen to music, have the best memories with my little sister, and sometimes I just do nothing. I also have all of my unique things in my room, such as the art that I made that now hangs on my wall , next to the posters of my favourite singers. From the pictures on the walls to the memories home holds, this makes me feel at home. My home is like a big book that holds all of my family's memories, from the good memories to the sad ones. That is home in my heart and in my family's heart. Thank you Habitat for humanity for helping people who need a home.
