🏡 Home isn’t just a house 🏡

Home isn’t just a house, it's where I make memories that last forever. To me, my home is part of my family, it is like a shield that protects me from anything. When I first moved to another home, I thought that it wouldn't feel right, but after I moved I figured out that it’s not where you live, it’s who you live with. That’s what makes a home. The rooms in my home aren't just for cooking, watching TV, sleeping and doing homework. They are special places that have meanings to them. Home doesn't just have windows, doors and roofs, it’s where my family and I spend time together, play games, cook and eat with each other, and even just sit and do nothing together. The hanging paintings and pictures throughout my home are like little books that tell stories. They are memories that remind me of my family and what we have experienced over the years. My kitchen is like a restaurant, full of wonderful smells and flavours. In my kitchen I help my mom and dad cook Taiwanese food, as well as food from different cultures and backgrounds. We then enjoyed the delicious food we made and it’s about who you eat with. My bedroom is a warm blanket that comforts me when I'm frustrated and tired. In my bedroom I feel safe so I have a good sleep. Everyday I come home from school and I always feel exhausted, so the living room is always the place to relax. When I'm in the living room with my family I play games, we sip hot cocoa, and watch movies. This is what a home means to me and I will never take it for granted.
