When I feel like home

Every afternoon after a long day of work, I walk back from school excitedly. The only thing I can think about is the amazing times I'm going to have at home. When I walk into my house, I'm welcomed by the spacious yet cozy atmosphere. I can’t wait to start my afternoon off school. The wonderful smell of my moms delicious cooking fills my nose, there is nothing better than the smell of cinnamon! It's the place I want to be, the feeling I want to feel, the smells I want to smell. Every night me and my family sit on our cozy couch to watch TV. We might watch a Raptors game, maybe a Leafs or Blue Jays game. It doesn't really matter, as long as I'm with my family, I feel like home. My Mom cooks a delicious dinner. We all sit at the table excited to eat. She made pork chops! The food is absolutely delicious. We eat our food, surprisingly not from a 5 star gourmet restaurant that It's so good and then it's time to go to sleep. I talk to my pet leopard gecko named “Kory” for some time and then I go to sleep. I can't help but think about his home. Even though he's my pet and I take some time to care for him, he might not consider this place his home. It may be his house, but he probably wants to be out there, in the wild. Hunting for his own prey and fighting off other animals. Sometimes, a house doesn't feel like home to some people. But the memories my house is filled with, the wonderful people and moments I've had here, at my house, is what makes it feel like home. The world is a huge place, there are billions of different people with different opinions, personalities and likings. Some might not agree with me, but out of the whole entire world, there is no place I’d rather be than home. It's the sights I want to see, the tastes I want to taste, the place I want to be- home.
