The Meaning of Home

Home is the place where things are just right, the lights in my room are never too bright, water in the shower is never too hot and the warmth of my heart will never fade. In the back of my room where my joy plays, the fun I have can’t be replaced by the harmony of my mom’s hum. My bed is the place that I will never dread, dreams are things that come from when I sleep. In the warmth of home, memories unfold, the smell of the stove arises with a gentle glow. The stairs to the kitchen guided by the sound of sizzling and popping, a wonderful meal waits ahead. A good meal must always be a joy to be aside, a feast for the tongue shall be a flavourful swirl. Entering my home leaves the stress and worries behind, if my heart gleams and shines, that means I am at home. This is what home means to me.
