Meaning of Home

Home is a place I feel loved and welcome. It is not a building made of sadness.Rather it is a safe feeling. My home is filled with wondrous smells. Home is the smell of my mom`s fresh homemade jam-filled cookies that she makes on Christmas eve. Home is the smell of my dad`s homemade french toast that he makes on Sunday morning. My home is filled with lots of different feelings.I feel free because I am not locked away when I am at home. I feel safe and loved because I don`t feel scared, I feel strong and cared about. I have a lot of sweet sounds in my home. I love to hear my cat purring in my lap in the morning. I love to hear the birds chirping in the morning time with the sunrise. That is what home means to me.
