My Home is My Home
Home is many things to me. Home is a place for myself. When I go into
my home, I feel a sigh of relief. Home is a place for laughter. Home is a place where I could do whatever I want. Home feels gentle like my mom’s cooking. I feel relief and happiness when I’m at home. It gives me peace and joy. It’s a place for games with family and love. It’s like my happy place. It’s a place where I don't get judged or discriminated against. It’s where I can practice my religion. I could wear whatever clothes I want and sleep whenever I want. There are sometimes arguments but no hatred. It’s a place where I can play sports or video games to relax myself. I could feel whatever emotion I want such as anger, sadness, nervousness, or energeticness. It’s a place for growth and kindness. I also feel warmth in my home. In my home, I have parents who love me more than the whole world. I have a sibling who I argue and fight with but usually for silly reasons. I don't have to pretend to be someone else in my home. Everytime I walk in, it smells great like my mom’s cooking. I feel protected and safe in my home. It feels great and exciting in any home. It doesn’t matter if it is my home right now or my old home. Everytime I step in, it feels like an adventure. Every step in my home is a gift. I take my home for granted even though it is a blessing. Overall, I can be my natural self without judgement. Home is different for everyone because my home is home.
