What does home mean to me?

Home is more than just a building or a place on a map. To me, home is a feeling that brings comfort, safety, and happiness. It is the place where I can truly be myself and feel accepted. Home is where my heart feels calm and where I know I belong. When I think of home, I think of warmth, love, and care. It is where I took my first steps, learned important lessons, celebrated birthday parties, laughed until my stomach hurt and created memories that will stay with me forever. Every room in my house has its own purpose, which makes my home feel alive. The living room is where my family laughs, shares stories, and spends time together. It is also where I relax and enjoy watching my favorite anime after a long day. The kitchen is one of the most special places in my home. It is where my mom prepares meals with love and care. The smell of Sri Lankan curry and spices fills the air and makes me feel comforted and happy. Those smells remind me that I am surrounded by people who care about me. My bedroom is my personal sanctuary. It is where I can think, dream, and be completely myself. Even small places like the hallway and bathroom feel familiar and comforting because they are part of my home. My home is where my cousins come over for sleepovers, where we stay up late talking, playing games, and making memories together. These moments make my home feel full of life and joy. Home is not perfect, and neither am I. Sometimes I argue with my mom, and we do not always agree. But even after fights, home is still the place where love remains. Home is not just a place to sleep or eat. It is where I can laugh, play, and make mistakes without fear of being judged. It is where I feel supported no matter what.
