Home is not a building

Home is not a building, home is where I look through all of our memories like a big book of special places we have been to over time. When I just lean into my couch it makes me stop and think about when we just chatted away while watching the silliest movies. Just eating buttery popcorn together makes me think I'm in a whole different world cuddled up in a warm cozy blanket. When someone says “home” you might think of a building…but it's so much more than that,it's where you care for your family and they care for you. It's where you can let out all your big emotions and let them all out.It's where you can explain stuff that nobody understands but they still listen anyways, it's where you always feel loved. Just moving your hand around the sharp edges will remind you of a memory.. It might not be big but it still means something special. A building is a place with a door, roof and things that are needed…but nothing would feel right if you never had family with you your “home” would feel empty. Having family with you is so important and special, it makes your home complete. Home is not home without a loving family to spend your adventures with. Family is very special Walking into your house to the smell of carrot cake is so calming. You can set the table, placing the napkins one by one. When you cut the carrot cake and all the icing comes out..it's like a big puddle of lava on a plate! It’s so delicious. Home is full of kindness in every little thing you do. Home is not complete without family. Home is not a building, it's so much more than that!
