The Many Great Things of Home

I love my home. Home is a place where I feel belonging, and it is a place where I can totally be myself and where I have no fear of judgement. The thought of home brings me so much peace, because I know that it is a place I can always go back to. Whether I’ve just finished a day of school, or just got back from a weeklong trip, my home is always there, and it will never leave. My home is a place where I have freedom of being myself, and I love that freedom. For me, home is a place that holds both memories and prayers. Before each meal and before bed, our family takes time to thank God for the food, and we thank Jesus for how he showed his faithfulness as he carried us through yet another day. In my house, Jesus is the center of our lives and we follow him, and the memories of how God answered our prayers, praying for meals, those are memories I will never forget. Another trait of what home means to me is the people. The people in my house are a big part of what a home is to me. I am in a family of seven so sometimes it can get a little chaotic. I have four siblings, a mom, and a dad. I feel so loved and so much comfort in my home because of its great people. I know that I belong in the exact family that I was put in. I belong right here with them. To me, home can be anything as long as you can share it with a kind and loving family. Home means so very much to me and I thank my family for making home possible.
