My Home is Always in my Heart

My home is always in my heart because I can be loved and supported by my family. My home can keep me safe so I can feel protected by a strong shield. A house is a structure but a home is a caring and loving space filled around me. A home keeps laughter, love, care, freedom and fun all together in one place. My home is special to me because I have been growing up there for a long time and because I feel cared about. A home is a place where I will remember all the time in my life, even when I am sad or mad. My home carries memories all the time like when it’s our birthdays, when we were babies and that’s building more memories each year. In my bedroom I can feel safe. That’s my most trusted spot in my home and I can have a good rest every night. In the kitchen there is a smell of my favorite chicken that makes me go to the kitchen to take a piece to eat when my mom is cooking. At dinner time we all gather up to eat at one table. That is the time we spend together and talk with each other. The back yard is my favorite place to calm down and to have a rest when I am stressed or when I am scared of something and to have fun and play there with my family or just my brother. That’s why my home is so special to me and it will always be special to me. I want to say a special Thank-you to the Habitat for Humanities organization for helping others who are less fortunate.
